Who We Are

  • We are an international reference center for patients with pathology of the nose, paranasal sinuses, and skull base.
  • Since 2014, we have been organizing the annual international seminar Masterclass in Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at the University of Amsterdam – University of Leiden, one of the most important workshops worldwide, featuring top skull base surgeons.
  • Since 2015, we have been organizing at HYGEIA Hospital the annual Endoscopic Surgery Workshop with Live Surgery, hosting international guests.
  • As an International Reference Center, the Department of Endoscopic Surgery of the Paranasal Sinuses and Skull Base established the first international observerships/fellowships in Rhinology – Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery in Greece, welcoming sixteen visiting surgeons from the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain, Argentina, Russian Federation, Bulgaria, and Australia.
  • We operate in and are hosted by excellent facilities that meet international standards, and we have highly trained staff working in close collaboration with oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, radiation therapists, ophthalmologists – orbital surgeons, and maxillofacial surgeons.
  • The procedures are performed fully endoscopically, resulting in shorter hospital stays, minimal external scarring, and reduced complications and recovery time.

What we do

In cases of chronic sinusitis, functional endoscopic sinus surgery respects the function of the paranasal sinuses by keeping the natural drainage pathways open, thereby avoiding complications and recurrences.

For benign or even malignant tumors of the paranasal sinuses and skull base, the endoscopic approach provides more direct access to the tumor, with improved visualization and greater freedom of movement, which often leads to more complete removal with fewer complications.
